Holes 10 and 11 killed us with shots hit into the hazards,” said Drake head coach Matt Lewis. “The second round was more challenging as the wind picked up. I thought we were hanging in there until our final few holes. We gave back too many strokes on our final holes. I’m sure fatigue and the end of a long mental grind was a factor, but we had to many too many unforced errors and mental lapses.” Day 1 Results Freshman Kyle MacDonald is tied for fifth-place to lead the team with a score of 148 (72-76), while junior Drew Ison carded a 153 (75-78) and is tied for 20th.
